2 DAY TREKKING – PASOCHOA & COTOPAXI

This 2 day trek takes you to the northern part of the Avenue del Volcanoes with Ruminahui, Pasochoa and the magical Cotopaxi. The hacienda has access to magnificent private properties and protected areas, where it wouldn’t be possible to come otherwise. 

ITINERARY

Day 1: Pick up from your hotel and drive to the Hacienda close to Pintag; east of Quito. You get a chance to meet the horses and choose the one who suits you best. The ride starts in direction of Pasochoa and Cotopaxi. The ecosystem consists of accidental, mostly glacier formed valleys and plains with a large variety of lakes, peat bogs and wet grasslands intermingled with shrub lands and forest patches. Nearly 43% of this ecosystem worldwide is found in ECUADOR. It is located in the high elevations, between the upper forest lines (about 3000 m altitude). After return at the Hacienda a delicious diner will be prepared. After that it is time to sit around the cosy fireplace and to talk about the experiences in the beauty Ecuadorian nature.

Riding hours: 4-6 hours

Day 2: After a good night rest breakfast will be served. After that you take take horses again to go for another ride into the impressive landscape.  After the ride lunch will be served and private transportation takes you back to your hotel in Quito.
