Every Saturday we have a special shared departure for horseback riding at the Cotopaxi volcano. The itinerary is fixed and the service is more basic then the private ride. You only have an English guide when there are four or more people, with less you only have a Spanish speaking guide. The horses are small-medium sized (1.40cm-1.58cm) and the equipment is local cowboy style. You receive a safety helmet at the hacienda. There will be a local Spanish guide who will accompany you with the horses and when you are with 4 or more there will be an English speaking guide as well. If you would like to have a private ride at Cotopaxi, with an English speaking guide even if you are alone please take a look at the Cotopaxi private tour. In this shared budget tour you share the transportation with guests who are doing the Cotopaxi hiking and biking tour. The meals (breakfast and lunch) will also be together with the hiking and biking people. So you could go together and some can go on a horse ride and other can do the hiking & biking part. But be aware that it is possible that you have a to wait after your horse ride for the other guests to be ready with their hiking & biking part.
